Brooklyn Public Library: Librarians of Tomorrow
This paid internship for 10th-12th graders matches you with a Library mentor. You'll receive training, tons of work experience, and knowledge about exciting careers. Apply now online here! Please ask your librarian if you require the print application instead. 

City Limits (Clarify) Youth Reporting Internship
The City Limits Accountability Reporting Initiative for Youth, or CLARIFY, is a paid, remote internship opportunity for New York City high school students who will be trained in the essential tenets of investigative reporting and news writing. Participants will spend eight weeks working on locally-focused stories about important New York City issues, with the goal of getting those stories published in City Limits and in a student-produced newsletter, The CLARIFY Report.
The fall 2021 internship will take place remotely from Oct. 26 to Dec. 21, and interns will meet twice a week on Zoom, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Those who perform successfully in the program will earn a $1,000 stipend.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must reside within New York City, and be entering either their junior or senior year of high school (11th and 12th grades) or their first year of college in the fall of 2021. They should have an interest in writing and current events, and should be curious about the world around them.

Brooklyn Museum Internships:
InterseXtions: Gender & Sexuality
Explore gender and sexuality through art and activism, and organize programs for other LGBTQIA+ youth.
8 months: November 2021 - June 2022
Open to all NYC teens ages 14-19 who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, two-spirit, gender nonconforming, questioning, and/or queer

Teen Night Planning Committee
Produce free monthly events for other teens that connect art and social justice.
8 months: November 2021 - June 2022
Open to all NYC high school students

Reel Works Fellows
Reel Works Fellows is a free intensive training program for talented young artists to specialize in a filmmaking discipline, and build a portfolio for college and career success.
Attend a mandatory virtual information session in November, and apply here by December 1. 

Scholarship Plus
The Scholarship Plus award is a scholarship and community for New York City students who have demonstrated academic achievement in the face of obstacles. Scholarship Plus offers such students a competitive four-year scholarship PLUS individualized, wraparound support. We celebrate students' successes and help them navigate difficult moments. The scholarship may be used to pay tuition, room and board, fees, and other educational expenses. Each scholarship will be renewable annually for up to four years of study as long as the student maintains a good academic record and makes standard progress toward a degree. The application opens on November 1.
