Scholarship Plus', a significant college scholarship and support program for NYC high school seniors, application is now live. Applications must be submitted online by Thursday, January 20, 2022: you may apply here

Arts Connection
Arts Connection connects teens to the arts through performances, studio visits, film screenings, and internships and training opportunities! Bookmark their Teen Program Open Applications page to keep track of these. Here are the programs currently accepting applications:

In-person; application required programs:

TRaC (Teen Reviewers & Critics) - Bronx/HipHop, Film, Media Arts, Theater/Dance: is for high school students to explore the arts in NYC. Participants spend ten weeks attending cutting-edge theater, dance, and music performances; visiting artist studios, galleries, and museums; mastering NYC’s subway system; learning the art of discussion and critical writing; producing media content; and so much more!

TCT (Teens Curate Teens) - Curators: brings together NYC high school artists and curators to produce a public, group art exhibition based on a subject selected by teens. The theme for spring 2022 is Mental Health and the exhibition will be held at the ELM Foundation in Williamsburg.

Virtual; application required programs:

TRaC (Teen Reviewers & Critics) - Music TRaC: is for high school students to explore the arts in NYC. Participants spend ten weeks attending cutting-edge theater, dance and music performances; visiting artist studios, galleries, and museums; mastering NYC’s subway system; learning the art of discussion and critical writing; producing media content; and so much more!

OnTRaC College & Career Readiness: provides college and career readiness workshops to teens who will be connected with industry professionals, engage with post-high school educational opportunities and develop the leadership skills needed to succeed in the future. Held in partnership with Futures & Options. 

Arts-Making TRaC: is for high school teens who want to explore narrative, world-building, and character development using a multidisciplinary approach, working with performance, moving image, visual arts and more to create and tell stories collaboratively.

Virtual; no application required programs:

PaaM (Pizza and a Movie): is a free monthly program that invites high school students to join in a night of film and conversation. Each month the host presents a new theme illustrated by three movies. The group votes to decide which to watch. Post movie, the teens get a chance to learn more about the movie and explore how it ties into the theme. Pre-pandemic this program was held in-person w pizza; virtual PaaM encourages attendees to share a slice together, safely, from the comforts of their homes.
