My Top Ten Manga Picks (in no specific order)

Do you also like to read manga that can get your blood bumping, make you swoon, or make you cackle from laughter? Be sure to give the ten titles listed below a look if you haven't already.

  1. Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotoge: A popular action manga about Tanjiro, who sets off to become a demon slayer to avenge his family and find a cure for his little sister who’s turning into a demon. This manga explores the themes of familial love, revenge, comradery, and resilience. 
  2. Haikyu! by Haruichi Furudate: A popular volleyball manga about Hinata, who upon seeing the “Little Giant” of Karasuno on tv, aspired to be like him. After joining his junior highs volleyball club, he and Kageyama, the “King of the Upper Court,” had a fateful encounter that changed their lives forever.
  3. Horimiya by Hero: A slice of life romance manga about Hori and Miyamura discovering each other's true selves and falling in love. The former is viewed as a popular and seemingly perfect student by her classmates, while the latter is viewed as an introvert and outcast. 
  4. Kaguya-sama: love is war by Aka Akasaka: A physiological rom-com manga about Shirogane and Kaguya, the top two students of an elite school who makes it their mission to extract a confession of love from the other.
  5. Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami: A popular action manga about Yuji Itadori, a high school student with exceptional physical abilities, whos plunged into the the world of Jujutsu Sorcery when the club he joins comes into possession of a cursed object-the finger of Sukuna, King of Curses.
  6. My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi: A popular shonen manga about Midoriya who dreamed about being a hero despite being quirkless. Due to his display of bravery when he tried to rescue his childhood friend from the sludge villain, he caught the eye none other then All Might, his hero.
  7. Re:Zero by Tappei Nagatsuki: A isekai manga about Natuski Subaru who is summoned to another world and is killed when he befriends and tries to help a Emilia, half-elf girl who is a candidate to become the next ruler to the Kingdom of Lugunica. Subaru soon learned that he can return by death.
  8. Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo: A popular manga about a top Westali spy, Twilight, who was assigned a top secret mission to prevent the outbreak of another war with Ostanians. To do so, he has to create a family and infiltrate Eden Academy. Unbeknownst to him, his wife lives a double life as Gardens assassin, Thorn Princess, and his adopted child, Anya, is a telepath.
  9. The Saga of Tanya the Evil by Carlo Zen: A light novel with a manga adaptation about a japanese salaryman who doesn't believe in god, reincarnating in an alternate universe set during world war 1 and 2 as a little girl. He is forced to pray to God when he uses the Type-95 orb.
  10. Yona of the Dawn by Mizuho Kusanagi: An adventure romance manga about Yona, the princess of the Kouka Kingdom, and her bodyguard Hak, being chased out of the castle when her cousin Soo-won, assassinated her father under the cover of darkness. The two embark on a mission to seek help from the descendents of the four legendary dragons so that she can reclaim her kingdom.
