Project was a collaboration with the education department of The Museum of Modern Art. Exhibition assistance from recreation therapy intern Nelson Saintine, artist Andrea Solow and volunteer Phil Zimmelman. Flag with list of states. Exhibition label: Our American Flag in Jan 1865 by Carlton Richardson. Collage, 18 H x 24 W inches. One moment of time after the Civil War, which we reflect how our nation grew from 35 to 50 states. We must never forget our past, so we do not make the same mistakes in the future.
