Cioffi affixes $100,000 diamond-studded crown to main altar effigy in ceremony at Regina Pacis National [sic] Votive Shrine, 12th Ave. and 65th St. Archbishop Thomas E. Molloy presided over rite at which smaller crown was placed over effigy of Infant held by Virgin. Crowns, containing over 600 gems, had been taken to Rome by Monsignor Cioffi for special blessing."
