  • SummaryThis representational map with text of Greenpoint was created by eight students who participated in the Greenpoint Eco Afterschool STEM Program. This was a nine-week (October –December 2016) inquiry/place/ and project based exploration of urban wildlife. The project was divided into three phases: 1) building background knowledge about urban wildlife and its habitats; 2) community exploration and investigation of wildlife in Greenpoint; and 3) documenting and presenting findings.Students “sharpened their artistic saw” and developed new skills with, creative artist and comic book professional, Alex Simmons.
