  • SummaryRendering (drawing) of proposed church and steeple with parishioners on steps and in yard and residential building on left. Caption: "[Salem Dani]sh Lutheran Church--this picture taken from the architect's drawing gives an idea of what the new Salem Danish Lutheran Church on Ovington Ave., between 3d and 4th Aves., will look like when completed. The new building, of Danish architecture, will be of red brick, 93 feet by 34 feet, and will accomodate approximately 300 worshipers. The ceremonies attendant to the raising of the roof, an old Scandinavian custom, were held on Sept. 19. The building will be ready for dedication some time in November, according to the Rev. C. M. Videbeck, pastor."
