Project was a collaboration of creative arts therapist Beryl Brenner with VA NYHHS psychologist Dr. Yasmeen Yamini-Benjamin and Kingsborough Community College recreation therapy intern Shawnese Marriott and focused on coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Exhibition label: My old little house in the country, Hector Acevedo, drawing and collage, 2013. I was born in the country. My house is a blue house filled with the sadness and nightmares of war. Gardening helps me to relax.
