Covid Day of Remembrance: An Open Thread
As we turn over the one-year mark from the beginning of New York City's Covd-19 pandemic crisis, we feel it is important to create a safe space for our community to grieve, reflect, and share their feelings. Join us at the Carroll Gardens Branch Facebook page on Sunday, March 14th for an "Open Thread" and share poems, art or photos, or songs. We all have different experiences from the last year, and our library's great collections of wise and healing words and pictures is more important than ever.
We're looking forward to collecting everyone's words, photos and art to create a virtual, collaborative collage to honor everyone's experiences. Please feel free to continue posting throughout the week. Estimated publish date for the collage: March 21st.
And watch for our rainbow mosaic kid's craft post also on the 21st, because rainbows took on a lot more symbolism since last spring!
