Cycle Alliance Maxi Pad Distribution Afternoon
To recognize Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28, 2021), Her Village Inc. and Brooklyn Public Library's Cycle Alliance will be teaming up to distribute free menstrual hygiene products for those in need. Supplies will be limited. First come, first served basis. This is a gender inclusive distribution.
For those who are willing and able, patrons and the public are encouraged to donate UNOPENED boxes of maxi pads, panty shields, tampons, period panties, menstrual cups, bladder control pads, and infant diapers for future distribution days. A collection box will be available the day of the event.
Her Village Inc. Her Village Inc. distributes needed items to families, single mothers, and teenagers. Specialized populations we serve include sex trafficking survivors, domestic violence survivors, teen motheres, ciriminal justice-involved youth, and families living in shelters. Over 90% of our population are Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
Cycle Alliance: The Cycle Alliance is a pro-period advocacy campaign for teens of all genders! Become a Cycle Ally. Use your voice and creativity to fight period shaming and period poverty in your communities.
