Join us for a dynamic two-hour workshop where photography meets personal reflection and creative expression. In this class you'll learn how to select impactful photos, spot connections between images, and examine elements like mood, composition and lighting. With our guidance, you'll find the perfect words to describe what you see and feel. We’ll provide classic photos for exercises, but feel free to bring your own favorite photos to write about or compare. Great for anyone interested in photography or writing, this workshop offers hands-on practice and expert tips to help you craft a personal photo journal. No prior writing experience needed—just come ready to explore and tell your stories through a lens and a pen!

Antonio M. Rosario is a Brooklyn-based photographer specializing in fine art and commercial work. A seasoned street photographer, he's also a skilled educator in the field and the engaging host of the “Street Shots” photography podcast. Antonio's journey in photography began at the School of Visual Arts, inspired by his father's legacy in the craft. From photo editor to full-time photographer, his work captures the dynamic spirit of New York City, reflecting influences from iconic photographers like Berenice Abbott and Walker Evans. Dedicated to his art, Antonio champions the idea that great photography is accessible to everyone, encouraging beginners to embrace their unique perspectives, regardless of the camera in hand, as they explore the world through their lens.
