BPL Presents humanities and art University Open Air

This course will look at the foundations of Islam and how the prophet Muhammad brought the message of God to the world and how his followers divided after his death. It will also overlook the foundations of Islamophobia, the core message of Islam, and how the message became obscured over the years by a few select radicals.

Nadia Batool Bokhari is a journalist with 13 years of national and international reporting experience across Pakistan, Iraq, India, the U.K. and U.S., focusing on issues of social justice, women’s rights and healthcare. She has experience in hosting and producing television and radio programs, as well as researching and reporting for print, online media, and blogs.

In collaboration with Prospect Park Alliance, Brooklyn Public Library presents University Open Air, a free, three-week series of classes beginning Tuesday, June 11th in Prospect Park’s former Rose Garden.

To access the Rose Garden, follow signs through Prospect Park's Grand Army Plaza entrance.
