StoryWalks

Read together in a brand new way with StoryWalks®! Available outside of select Brooklyn Public Library locations, StoryWalks® are picture books posted page by page outdoors.

We're posting StoryWalks® on fences at select neighborhood libraries and we will soon share them at partner locations, too. Each StoryWalk® book features prompts to encourage family discussion and interaction! Find exclusive videos from the authors and illustrators, descriptions, and additional activity ideas for each book below.

Rhyme & Play, On Your Way

At select BPL locations, panels of songs and rhymes are posted for families to enjoy. Share them together as you walk down the street or snap a photo of the poster to enjoy them later. Singing and rhyming helps children develop phonological awareness skills, hear the smaller sounds in words, and get ready for reading! BPL's Song & Rhyme Panels were illustrated by Beppe Giacobbe.

For videos of songs and rhymes performed by our talented children’s librarians, visit: Songs & Rhymes for Anytime
