Books Unbanned Read-In
Join us during National Library Week for a community read-in and take action against an alarming rise in censorship. From 1-6 pm on Thursday, April 10, join us in Central Library's Grand Lobby to exercise your freedom to read. Spend some time with the pages of a banned book and learn how you can support libraries by signing our pledge, writing a letter, and learning more about the Library's Books Unbanned initiative.
Everyone is welcome to participate; a selection of banned books and other materials will be available to support the community read-in. Plus, while supplies last, there will be book giveaways and Books Unbanned merchandise for sale!
