The Center for Brooklyn History at Brooklyn Public Library (CBH) is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the borough's 400-year history. Founded in 1863 as Brooklyn Historical Society, CBH became part of the Library in 2020 and is now open to all for research, education, culture and more. Located in the heart of historic Brooklyn Heights steps away from the Brooklyn Promenade, the building is a national historic landmark and features timeless architectural details including stained glass windows, soaring ceilings and hand-carved woodwork. The building was recently renovated with state-of-the-art modern facilities to meet all your event needs. Purslane, CBH's exclusive catering partner, can tailor a space rental package to make any event an occasion to remember!
