About DSNY Community E-waste Recycling Events:

As of January 2015, it is illegal for New Yorkers to discard electronics in the trash. Community e-waste events are a convenient opportunity for residents to drop off unwanted electronics in their neighborhood.

              Participants can bring e-waste items covered under the NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act. This includes:

• Household and office electronics (computers, laptops, keyboards, printers)
• Smaller entertainment electronics (video game consoles, cell phones, MP3 players)
• TVs, VCRs, DVDs, DVRs
