Events for Youth & Families: What it takes to write a book with Claire Ahn

Sat, May 3 2025
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Central Library, Dweck Center

Events for Youth and Family kids

Come meet YA and children's author Claire Ahn and learn what it takes to write a book! Go through creative exercises, ask questions, and hear her story of how she wrote her first, second, and now third novels and published with Penguin Random House. Claire Ahn's first novel, I Guess I Live Here Now, was chosen as Seventeen's book club pick. Her second novel, Bad Influence, centers around teenagers and the use of social media and becoming 'insta-famous.' Her third novel is currently in the process of being written and she can share more about it in person.

If you've ever wanted to be a writer, here's your chance to learn how.

Events for Youth & Families programs are made possible through generous support from the Estate of Pearl S. Reuillard in memory of her parents Yetta and Louis Schwartz.
