Join the Friends of Clinton Hill Library to celebrate Clinton Hill's own musical celebrity! Music and art from local artists will come together to help honor Clinton Hill native Christopher Wallace “Biggie Smalls” and his contribution to the musical world. A bookcase highlighting materials on hiphop, graffiti, and Brooklyn and music history will be dedicated by the Friends to honor Christopher Wallace “Biggie Smalls”. Clinton Hill resident LeRoy McCarthy initiated this project in conjunction with the Christopher Wallace Way street co-name (at St. James Place and Fulton Street) through his company Heterodoxx Inc., and local artist Vincent Ballentine donated his time and the art for this project.

The eleven members of Clinton Hill's own  James Fleet and Seniority will perform live jazz favorities from 2 PM to 3 PM.

The Friends of Clinton Hill will sell tickets to support the Christopher Wallace “Biggie Smalls” Bookcase Project from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM during this event. Prizes are a handmade, literacy-themed quilt to support the education goals of the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation that will be made by the Clinton Hill Library Creative Circle,  and art from local artist Vincent Ballentine. Raffle tickets for $1.00/ticket will be sold through out the event. Raffle winners will be announced at the end of the event at 4:00 PM.
