Introduction to Finding Grants (By Candid, formerly Foundation Center, staff)
Candid (candid.org) is a 501C3 nonprofit organization created when Foundation Center and GuideStar (guidestar.org) joined forces in 2019. Candid’s mission is to get you the information you need to do good. As a Candid Funding Information Network partner, the SST Division @BPL provides the public with access to Foundation Directory Online (FDO) Professional and Grants to Individuals Online, two of Candid’s foundation fundraising databases. Additionally, library visitors can visit the Central Library to find print resources on foundation, corporate and government funding, proposal writing, and nonprofit management.
