How does the digital revolution and a dwindling number of film labs affect a film archive’s ability to save films on film for the next generation?
Brian Meacham is the Managing Archivist at the Yale Film Archive, where he oversees acquisition, conservation, preservation, and access to print and pre-print material in the archive’s film collection. A graduate of the Selznick School of Film Preservation at George Eastman Museum, he teaches on film archiving in the Yale Film and Media Studies program and sits on the Board of Directors of the Association of Moving Image Archivists.
