The King Lear Project presents streamlined readings of scenes from Shakespeare’s King Lear to engage diverse audiences—including older adults, caregivers, and family members—in open, healing, constructive, discussions about the challenges of aging, dementia, and caring for friends and loved ones. This event is hosted by NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler Specialty Hospital--one of the largest public nursing facilities in the world--and is open to staff, residents, patients, and the general public. Featuring performances by Frankie Faison, Amy Ryan, Andrea Patterson, Marjolaine Goldsmith, Nyasha Hatendi, and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.
