Join us in March as we explore the inner workings of Orbánland, with Lasse Skytt's new account of that same name. This remarkable journalist’s personal account examines why one small European nation’s path away from liberal democracy carries vital lessons for us all. An unusually well-balanced, objective account that includes extensive interviews with leading figures from across the political spectrum. Skytt will be in conversation with Tomek Jankowski.

Lasse Skytt is a Danish foreign correspondent who has covered Hungary and Central Europe for almost a decade. Previously based in Copenhagen, London, and New York City, he graduated with journalism degrees from The New School and University of Southern Denmark and has lived in Hungary since 2013.

Tomek Jankowski is the author of Eastern Europe, 2nd Edition: Everything You Need to Know About the History (and More) of a Region that Shaped Our World and Still Does. He worked, studied, and traveled in Eastern Europe for years starting in the late 1980s. Holding degrees in history and economics, he is a senior analyst at a research firm where he has authored numerous reports focusing on the region. He and his wife live in Pembroke, New Hampshire.
