The #PlantWildFlowers is a national outreach and engagement initiative to help audiences across the country better understand and appreciate the role pollinators play in healthy ecosystems. The campaign is partnering with local PBS stations, libraries, nature centers, and community groups to encourage members to plant native wildflower seeds at home and in their communities to help support pollinators. Giving away free wild flower seeds suitable for growing in the Northeastern U.S. is the first of a series of programs by the Dyker Library on 3/12/2022, which is National Plant A Flower Day. Please register to reserve flower seeds, flowerpots, soil, and to receive invitation to additional events in the coming months.
