Overdose Prevention Education & NARCAN Training
CAMBA’s Opioid Overdose Prevention Program will be giving a training on how to reverse an opioid overdose with the use of naloxone. We will cover the current rates of overdose in NYC, discuss how naloxone works to reverse an overdose, and review the steps for responding to an overdose. We will also discuss how individuals can test their drugs for the presence of fentanyl and xylazine. Participants will receive a naloxone overdose prevention kit, as well as fentanyl and xylazine test strips.
