A Tour Of Central Library
This tour will explore the architectural significance and history of Brooklyn Public Library’s (BPL) landmark Central Library at Grand Army Plaza. The tour will introduce attendees to the history of the library’s spaces and its services. The tour will also give attendees a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the library’s underground storage “decks” and the Brooklyn Collection’s “morgue” of archival materials.
This tour can accommodate up to 15 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
The tour involves climbing and descending stairs. Tours meet in the Grand Lobby next to the Welcome Desk and depart 5 minutes after the start time.
