University Open Air: Light Basics and Fundamentals in Portrait Photography

BPL Presents humanities and art University Open Air


Are you addicted to selfies? Do you love taking photos of your Cat/Dog/Hamster? Are you unsure what makes a “good photo”? it’s all about the LIGHT! This workshop covers the basics of light physics, working with your camera, and using artificial or natural light to make creative portraits. Bring your cameras or phones. All camera types accepted. Be ready to photograph and be photographed.

Sol Avi Erez is an artist and educator, working in photography, video, and mixed media since 2008. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from HaMidrasha School of Art in Beit-Berl, Israel, and a Master’s in Fine Arts from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, US. He is an adjunct professor at the County College of Morris in New Jersey, and the co-founder of Wick Gallery in Brooklyn, New York.
