Room: Languages & Literature, 1st Floor
People often say that the idea of a supreme creator in charge of the universe is reassuring. But wouldn't it be more reassuring to know that whatever exists, does so due to math? Manil Suri, a distinguished mathematics professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County is the bestselling author of The Death of Vishnu and other novels. His book, The Big Bang of Numbers: How to Build the Universe Using Only Math, was a finalist for the 2023 PEN/E.O. Wilson literary science writing award.
