Project: Visions of vets, 2009, referencing the theme: Who is an American veteran? Artwork was displayed at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Era Museum and Education Center. Exhibition label: We served, we survived by Anthony Sarcone. Mr. Sarcone’s art work presents a commemorative image that honors American veteran’s who served during a different time and the sacrifices that they made for their country. The crosses are a stark reminder of how great the sacrifice was. Older veterans salute and a small child holds an American flag. This child symbolizes the continuity of the future.
