Project: Visions of vets, 2009, referencing the theme: Who is an American veteran? Artwork was displayed at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Era Museum and Education Center. Exhibition label: Wild things by Ron Gerlich. Mr. Gerlich states that “In Vietnam, no matter how secure you felt someone was always watching.” His work depicts a crane feeling secure and a squirrel sneaking up from behind. In essence, this was very much the quintessential “Vietnam Experience.”
