- SummaryCaption: "In memoriam--As a living tribute to the graduates and students of New Utrecht High School who were killed in action during World War II, the alumni association dedicates an oak tree on the school campus. Another oak commemorated all students who served in the armed forces. Participants in the ceremony, left to right, Dr. Leo R. Ryan, principal; Rev. Maxwell I. Sacks, rabbi of the Jewish Community Center of Flatbush; Monsignor William T. Dillon, president of St. Joseph's College for Women; Borough President Cashmore and the Rev. Martin Luther, pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church of Bensonhurst, and in the rear, left to right, Mary T.
