Mylod [library trustee], Brooklyn Borough President Abe Stark, John Ames Humphrey;" image shows Stark and Humphrey holding a large map showing locations of branch libraries. 1057 shows Humphrey, Stark and an unidentified man at Prospect Park centennial library exhibit. 1058 (inscription): "Philip Adam [library trustee], John A. Humphrey, Milton Byam [library employee], Major Sid Birns, Commander Civil Air Patrol." 1059 (caption): "Major Sid Birns, right, Commander of Civil air Patrol, Brooklyn Group, presents a certificate of appreciation to John A. Humphrey, director of Brooklyn Public Library. Brooklyn Group Civil Air Patrol celebrated ten years of being headquartered in the library. The certifiate was presented to Mr. Humphrey for his cooperation and understanding of the Civil Air Patrol cadet training program. Civil Air Patrol is open for enrollment to youngsters from 14 to 18 years of age." The location of the images is the Central Library. Five of the images are not dated.
