  • SummaryImage represented is one of a related set (BPL 1019, BPL 1017), some of which may also be described in this new record; Three views, in two different sizes, of a reading room at the Montague Branch of Brooklyn Public Library located at 197 Montague Street. 1019 includes three women, one or two of whom appear to be employees, and two men. Built in 1867, the building became a branch library in 1903 and served as the system's main library. It closed in 1962 when the Brooklyn Heights Branch opened. The images are not dated.
