- SummaryImage represented is one of a related set (SCHL 1302), some of which may also be described in this new record; Architectural rendering: caption: "The entire block bounded by Monroe and Madison Streets, Throop and Sumner Avenues, will be occupied by new P.S. 44 Brooklyn, a post-war [two-story, brick] school to be erected at an approximate cost of $1,200,000 with accommodations for 2,082 pupils in grades from kindergarten through 6B. A large playground adjacent to the school will be operated jointly with the Park Department. The new building was designed by Eric Kebbon, Board of Education architect."
