Join us for a presentation from local comic book professional Sebastian Girner. Get an insider look at the comic book publishing industry, tips for starting out, and the story of Girner's journey from Marvel Entertainment to founding his own independent, creator-owned publisher Goats Flying Press. 

Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A with the audience. Cereal, milk and snacks will be provided for free.

Sebastian Girner is a German-born, American-raised comic editor and writer. Beginning his career at Marvel Entertainment, he went on to edit several critically acclaimed creator-owned series including the Harvey and Eisner Award-winning Southern Bastards. In 2018 he helped launch TKO Studios as Editor-in-Chief where he managed all editorial, publishing and creative development until 2024. In 2023 he founded Goats Flying Press, an independent, creator-owned comic book publisher, based in Brooklyn, where he will bring his passion and experience to bear under the motto "Comics Against All Odds." Sebastian is the writer of such comics as Scales & Scoundrels, The Dead and The Damned, and Shirtless Bear-Fighter!.
