Would like to know my grandparents address in Sunset park in the mid 1920’s? Sadly I never thought to ask when they were still alive. Fredrik & Johanne Berntsen. They moved back to Norway in 1928 & 1929. Both were immigrants from Norway. Grandpa worked as a Forman with a carpentry firm. Thankful for any information that can help.

Please consider rescanning some of the Brooklyn 1925-1930 directories. They are illegible, especially the Brooklyn 1925 Directories. And the Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island; New York City Telephone Directory, 1926 is missing page 520-521, ironically the page I needed

I found my great grandfather and great uncle in East NY. Although they had died before I was born, I did already know their addresses. Nevertheless, it gave me quite a thrill to see their names and to learn that they had telephones in 1934 when so many still did not. Thank you so much for putting the directories online.

My grandfather owned a bar in Brooklyn during the 1930s. My grandmother cooked the food and pizza. I would like to find out the name of the bar, where it was, and anything else I can (to inlcude a picture or two). His name was Frank J. Landolfi. He may have been a co owner with one or more of his brothers, Ralph F. Landolfi and/or Nicholas A. Landolfi. Also, Frank and Ralph later owned a boatyard called Landy's Boat Yard and Marina possibly located in Bergen Beach. I remember visiting in when I was little up until about 1970. then I think a cousin took over. I would like information on that business too. How do I start my research when I have so little to go in? Thank you
