CBH Talk | “The Presidents and the People” with Corey Brettschneider and Alexis Coe
History shows that American presidents have often pushed the boundaries established for them by the Constitution. In The Presidents and the People: Five Leaders Who Threatened Democracy and the Citizens Who Fought to Defend It, Brown University politics and constitutional law professor Corey Brettschneider, explores five presidents who abused their power - John Adams, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Woodrow Wilson, and Richard Nixon - and the citizen movements that stopped them.
Join him in a conversation about these assaults on democracy and the inspiring citizens who pushed back. Moderated by presidential historian and senior fellow at New America, Alexis Coe.
