Healthy Communities
Join NYU Langone Health for a virtual workshop where we will learn about dementia, what it is, and why it matters for our health as we age. We will explore the risks factors that may raise or lower our chances of developing dementia, including some that may surprise you. We will focus on meaningful and practical steps we can take to protect our brain health, including staying active, managing health conditions, and staying socially connected. We will also discuss why some risk factors are harder to change than others and why taking action early can make a real difference. At the end of the talk, we will share free and low-cost resources available right here in New York City to help you get started.
Presenter: Dr. Alzamora Llull, NYU Langone Family Health Centers
