Flatbush Book Club: Days at the Morisaki Bookshop
Join Flatbush Library's monthly book club for a chance to meet your neighbors and dive into some great books. We read a variety of nonfiction and contemporary fiction.
For our January meeting, we'll be cozying up with Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa. After a young Japanese woman’s life falls apart, she moves into a flat above her eccentric uncle’s bookshop, staying rent-free in exchange for working at the store and developing a passion for Japanese literature. A tale of new beginnings, romantic and family relationships, and the comfort that can be found in books.
