You’re invited to THE PEOPLE’S BALL, Brooklyn Public Library’s free annual celebration of fashion, personal style and inclusivity. THE PEOPLE’S BALL, named Time Out New York’s Best Nightlife Event of 2023, welcomes you to dress up in the clothes that make you feel your most beautiful and authentic and walk the runway in Central Library's iconic lobby.
The free event, held on the eve of the Met Gala, offers an alternative to expensive, exclusive galas and showcases the diverse styles that make up New York City's urban runway.
Hosted by Delissa Reynolds and Ariel Polanco with musical performances by Storm Marrero and DJ sets by djFRiTZo

Storm Marrero is one of the premier vocalists in NYC. An artist in motion, a classically trained singer and songwriter whose vocal stylings are rooted in Contemporary Music, Soul, R&B, Pop and Latin music. A proud Bushwick, Brooklyn native who grew up in Puerto Rico & studied vocal technique under the guidance of opera veterans and developed her unique voice at the prestigious musical theater department of the University of Puerto Rico. Over 30 yrs of experience in international nightlife, she brings joy to any stage.
Delissa Reynolds is a working New York based actress who’s work can be seen most recently on CBS’s ELSBETH. Her television appearances include HULU’s Diarra from Detroit, WU TANG: An American Saga, Manifest, Law and Order, L&O SVU, The Beat, Deadline, The Good Fight, FBI Most Wanted, Madam Secretary, HBO’s Divorce, Netflix’s Orange is the New Black and Luke Cage. In film, her roles include A Thousand And One, MUZZLE, BRUISED, Two Lives In Pittsburgh, The Day The Ponies Come Back and Magic Hour (to name a few).
Delissa will be back on the boards in Washington, DC’s Studio Theatre production of WIPEOUT by Aurora Real de Asua and directed by Danilo Gambini this June. Her theatre credits include world premiere of Dael Orlandersmith's New Age at Milwaukee Rep., The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot and Our Lady of 125th Street at La Mama and The Actor’s Studio both directed by Estelle Parsons, the 10th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity production of Raft of the Medusa where she was awarded Outstanding Actress in a Featured Role, and Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird at Bangor’s Penobscot Theatre. Delissa is a lifetime member and Board Member of The Actors Studio. An original Brooklynite, Fritzo proudly shoulders the mission of cultivating the lost spirit of NYC nightlife: when partying was about expression, style, and sweat. A true music lover, djFRiTZo has a vinyl collection of over 20,000 records, and an equally extensive digital library of music videos, that span many genres and eras.
As a former music video director, he combined his two passions, music and the moving picture and created the Music Video Jam! where he mixes music videos on HD screens, immersing guests in a unique visual and sonic experience.
Having honed his craft over the years in countless NYC clubs, bars, galleries, warehouses, a night with djFRiTZo is an entertaining musical adventure thru music and memories.
