You’re invited to Red Hook Interim Library’s Opening Celebration on Tuesday, July 9 at 11am!
Join your neighbors, community leaders and Red Hook Library staff in celebrating the opening of Red Hook Interim Library at 362 Van Brunt Street. This location will serve as Red Hook’s neighborhood library while the permanent Red Hook Library is under construction
Starting July 9, Red Hook Interim Library will be open Monday-Friday from 10 am - 5 pm. Patrons can visit the branch for library services including materials for all ages, holds pickup, computer access, free WiFi, library card signup, and a variety of programming.

The location of Red Hook Interim Library was identified through the collaborative efforts of Council Member Alexa Avilés, the Friends of Red Hook Library, the leadership of Red Hook Houses West, and the Service Committee of the former Red Hook Civic Association. BPL is deeply appreciative of all the neighborhood community spaces, organizations and businesses for hosting interim library programming over the last twelve months.
