Join 350 Brooklyn for an in person general meeting and panel discussion on shifting from a disposable to a reusable culture through legislation and local efforts.

The panel discussion will include activists with Reusable NYC, Beyond Plastics, and the 350Bk Plastic Free team.

 

Raine Manly, Reusable NYC

Raine Manley currently works at NRDC (National Resource Defence Council) as an organizer on environmental issues and co-coordinates Reusable NYC, a coalition working to stop single use plastics in New York. She has a background in the fast-paced world of photography & fashion


Rachana Shah, Beyond Plastics Queens

Rachana Sha is the Lead Zero Waste Consultant & Educator at Aspire to Zero and Co-President of Beyond Plastics Queens. Rachana does zero waste consulting for corporate offices, residential buildings, and food service businesses, helping them plan and launch successful organics collection programs, conducting zero waste audits, and implementing behavior change strategies to make all the programmatic changes worthwhile



Susan Boyle, 350 Brooklyn

Susan Boyle is a co-leader of the Plastic Free Team and on the Steering Committee of 350 BK. She took the Beyond Plastic Pollution online course where she learned that recycling will not save us. She is currently working on the Skip the Cup Campaign which aims to chip away at the hold our disposable culture has on us. Her day job is managing commercial and residential buildings she and her husband renovated.
